Recommendations for holiday book gifts, from associate publisher Rebecca Glaser
Give Books. Gift Joy!
As a child, getting a new book as a gift was special—it meant I got to keep it, read it more than once, and add it to my personal library—which meant eventually loaning it the neighbor kids, too. (When I was young, I played library with as much energy as I played house.) As a parent, I love when people give my kids books too—it’s something new to read that I can share with them and we can enjoy together. Of course, given my profession, I’m a little picky about books . . . and as my kids grew, I realized the need to steer a few well-meaning relatives in a better direction. Matching the right book with the right reader can not only spark joy, but also inspire a lifelong love of reading.
For all the kids (and parents) in your life, here are my top picks for book gifting this holiday season.
